Ormewood Dog Yard
Our Story
The Ormewood Dog Yard is located on the grounds of Ormewood Church in the neighborhood of Ormewood Park (I know, a lot of "Ormewood" in that sentence). It is maintained by a partnership between the church, neighborhood volunteers, and paying patrons. The Yard was founded in 2006 and was maintained through volunteer donations through the summer of 2024. In an effort to make the Ormewood Dog Yard more accessible, sustainable, and safe, visitors of the Dog Yard now must fill out an online waiver & community rules agreement, and pay a small monthly fee of $10, renewable yearly.
Become a Member
We currently offer membership at the Dog Yard for $10/month. This gives you access via a bluetooth locking system to the Dog Yard from 8AM-8PM Monday-Saturday. The Dog Yard is closed on Sundays to ensure our lovely neighbors have a break. It also occasionally closes due to heavy rainfall or adverse weather conditions.

To be reviewed for membership, you'll need to visit this Breeze Form and agree to our waiver of liability and also our community rules. In addition to this, you must verify that your dog is up to date with all recommended vaccinations. In the Breeze Form, you will also be prompted to pay for your membership by submitting payment for the remainder of the calendar year. All memberships will be up for renewal in January. Should you need to be refunded for your membership due to moving or the unfortunate loss of a pet, you can always reach out to Rev. Jenelle Holmes for a reimbursement. After your application is reviewed and approved, you will be granted access to the Dog Yard via a bluetooth locking system that utilizes your smartphone.
