**A note during Covid19: we're not meeting in person at this time. To connect virtually with our community, click the "newsletter" link above. There are lots of ways to get involved, even from a distance.
ORMEWOOD CHURCH BOOK CLUB
Check out the Ormewood Church (and neighborhood) Book Club which meets in the living room of the main building the last Monday of the month. For more information find Ormewood Church Book Club on Facebook or email Torrie.
Porch Groups are small gatherings of folks who desire to connect deeper with each other through discussion, laughter, prayer, and perhaps a bottle of wine (think small group). They gather for 6-8 weeks at a neighborhood home in Southeast Atlanta. Click here for more information.
The Meditation Group meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30PM. All faiths welcome. Email Martyn Hope with questions.
WEDNESDAY MORNING COFFEE
Ormewood Church men gather at Hodgepodge every Wednesday morning at 7AM to talk about life and faith. Email Nicholas if you're interested.
LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS
For the upcoming year, Ormewood Church is going to focus on loving our neighbors in two ways. First, we're going to dedicate time and resources toward the children and youth in our neighborhoods. We have become a financial faith partner with Nicholas House in Grant Park and we are building relationships and volunteering in their programming and housing.
Second, we're also doing the slow and steady work of dismantling our own white supremacy and racism. This year our work will be through cultural competency training for all of our volunteers and through upcoming events like seminars, film series, and book readings. We are visioning a dine and discuss program for Ormewood Park this fall that will hopefully launch in February. We'll keep you posted.
If you're interested in getting involved, just email Jenelle!
